Den Oslo-baserte Legal Tech-startupen TheLawyerGuide.com planlegger internasjonal ekspansjon. Til tross for et knalltøft kapitalmarked har selskapet nå hentet 5 millioner kroner gjennom en crowdfundingskampanje. Emisjonen priser selskapet til 42 millioner kroner.

TheLawyerGuide.com tilbyr en plattform for å vurdere advokater, a la hva Tripadvisor gjør for restauranter. Alle nasjonale advokater er oppført på plattformen. Advokatene kan gjøre krav på sin profil og berike den med mer informasjon. TheLawyerGuide.com tjener penger på å fremheve betalende advokater, samt formidle potensielle nye klienter til advokatene. 

Etter oppstarten i Norge under navnet Advokatguiden i 2020, har TheLawyerGuide.com utvidet til Sverige, Danmark, Sveits og Nederland. I 2023 vil selskapet utvide sin virksomhet til USA og flere større land i Europa. 

Nå har selskapet hentet penger gjennom en emisjon på crowdfundingsplattformen Folkeinvest som priser selskapet til 42 millioner kroner. Emisjonen, som brakte inn mer enn 5 millioner kroner, gjorde at selskapet fikk mer enn 50 nye aksjonærer. 

Ali Ahmed, administrerende direktør i TheLawyerGuide.com er glad for den vellykkede emisjonen: 

– Vi er kjempeglade for å ha fullført vår første offentlige seed-runde. Vi forventer at kapitalinnhentingen vil medføre at vi kan bli profitable i flere nøkkelmarkeder, inkludert Norge og Sverige. Senere i år lanserer vi også plattformen i Storbritannia, Italia, Frankrike og USA. Etterhvert kan det bli nødvendig med ytterligere ekstern finansiering, men dette tar oss langt på vei mot målet om en global utrulling av produktet vårt.

Ali Ahmed er selv tidligere advokat. Han ble ansatt tidligere i år da han overtok stillingen etter IT-gründeren og den tidligere advokaten Erling Løken Andersen, som startet plattformen i 2020. Ahmed skal nå lede selskapets internasjonale virksomhet. 

– Vårt mål er å gjøre TheLawyerGuide.com til verdens største plattform for advokatvurderinger. Vi har teknologien, ferdighetene og de rette menneskene til å få jobben gjort, sier Ahmed.

– Med flere og flere falske anmeldelser overalt, trenger globale forbrukere noen de kan stole på. Vårt mål er å gjøre TheLawyerGuide til denne sannhetskilden, og etablere oss som en sentral del av enhver advokatutvelgelsesprosess.

Siden oppstarten i 2020 har TheLawyerGuide.com tiltrukket seg nesten én million besøkende på tvers av sine fem markeder i Norge, Sverige, Danmark, Nederland og Sveits.
