Appen, som ble lansert i 2013, nådde milepælen forrige fredag, forteller Sensor Tower til TechCrunch.

Det er India som er det største markedet for Telegram, det samme gjelder også for konkurrenten Whatsapp. India skal stå for 22 prosent av Telegram-nedlastingene.

På andreplass følger Russland, etterfulgt av Indonesia. På verdensbasis har Telegram nå 500 millioner aktive brukere.
